Tell us about your startup.
Best Aid Limited is a fully operational health tech startup that is addressing the major
issues of Bangladesh healthcare industry. Best Aid began its journey to improve the healthcare
ecosystem. Best Aid’s mission is to make the minimum health care that a person needs to be
accessible anytime anywhere. And its vision is to create a health tech ecosystem and to deliver
the entitled healthcare support anyone and everyone has the right to and doing this in an adequate
way which will not need an impossible change but some tweaks in the already existing system.
What was your key driving force to become an entrepre
I brought in a family where my mother or my father was always sick at one time or another.
I have spent more nights on the hospital corridors than I can remember. I have seen the hardship
of the people of Bangladesh who came from remote villages to get the minimum healthcare they
deserve. They had to sell their properties to get the treatment. That was the driving force for me
to reach the remote people of Bangladesh with the minimum healthcare they deserve.
How did the idea for your business come about?
A country where there are less than 10 doctors for 10000 thousand people it was imminent
that the use of technology is the only way to mitigate the gap between doctors and patients.
Especially in remote areas the health care is little to none. So using technology was the only way
left to create the bridge between t doctors and patients. That’s where we started. Creating a
platform where people will be able to access the doctor 24/7.
What has been your most satisfying moment during the journey of entrepreneurship?
Working in the remote areas where healthcare never reached, we have many satisfying
moments. But in the first Covid lock down when people had no access to health care or hospital
we gave services to more than 30,000 people free of cost. That was one of the most satisfying
moment for me.
Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur? What is that?
Yes. Absolutely. There are fundamentals, and when you have them in place, they assist
promote success.
While many entrepreneurs do things differently and each company has its own culture, certain
basics remain.
Here are a few:
You must know why you are doing it. To what end? Why are you? This must permeate the firm.
Bad products can’t win. You need amazing items (or services) that stand alone. There’s no way
around it. Exceptional quality. You must assemble a fantastic squad. Nothing counts if you have
bad people. Making sure you have the right people in the correct jobs is critical. Customer
service and experience: a fantastic product with poor or mediocre customer service and
experience will eventually hurt you. You should care about your clients’ experience.
With the above in place and a solid marketing approach, you’ll be set. Put a lot of effort into
discovering interesting ways to promote your products to your audience. You must establish an
excellent sales force. This is true of most firms. Most, not all. Building a competent sales force
that can consistently sell your goods is your lifeblood. So, if you want revenue, get this right.
Controlling the company’s finances, ensuring that revenue exceeds expenditure, having clear
policies and procedures, and providing excellent employee training are all examples of good
management. It’s critical to have effective management that knows how to motivate people to
execute plans and achieve goals. These are the essentials to nail. These key principles assure
success.
