Specialists Predict Women Entrepreneurs as the New Regulators of Economic Growth

Business Boost Bangladesh: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Women Entrepreneurs and Business Enthusiasts 2022 is a training programme for Bangladeshi women that was organized by Preneur Lab Youth and Innovation Trust and The EMK Center. The workshop programme attracted a lot of interest since it was publicized. This was a 4-day programme with a hybrid framework that included virtual and physical components. On September 11 and 12, 2022, a virtual session and roundtable panel discussion were held as part of the workshop’s first virtual day. The third and fourth occasions happened in person at the EMK Center. The third & fourth events were the Bootcamp day & the Demo Day session organized on 14 and 15 September 2022.

 

The participants were picked based on the defined target group before the workshop was organized., especially the women with backgrounds in entrepreneurship. The programme attracted largely female business enthusiasts. Nearly 30 and 32 applicants respectively attended the first and second days of the virtual session. More than 20 participants participated in the in-person courses on the third and fourth days, which were Bootcamp and Demo days.

 

Md. Salah Uddin, General & Head, Innovation & Digital, Robi Axiata Ltd., led the first day’s virtual session. Nurun Nahar Fancy, Head of HR, String Technology LTD, Sabira Mehrin Saba, Founder, Wander Women, Nilim Ahsan, CEO and Cofounder, Userhub, and Shoyeb Mohammad Khan, Digital Marketing Expert, Shohoz led the virtual panel discussion on the second day of the event. The mentors for the third day of the Bootcamp Day event were Md. Altamis Nabil, President of JCI Dhaka West, Rebecca Sultana, Project Officer, UNDP Bangladesh, Emrazina Islam, Bangladesh Brand Ambassador, and Payoneer. Demo day was on the fourth day. Before the jury board, participants pitched their ideas. Members of the jury included Ileush Md Mirza, the creator of Brand Practitioners Bangladesh, Sabera Anwar, a co-founder of GoDeshi, Kazi Robin, an associate professor at World University of Bangladesh, and Siddhartho Goshwami, the director of the iDEA Project at the ICT Division of Bangladesh. The CEO and Cofounder of Preneur Lab, Mr. Arif Nezami was also present in the demo day.

 

Participants got books and certificates. Participants in the session discussed how business bootcamp may assist them, how they can utilize the information from this programme to boost their businesses, and how the issue can be solved. Through these workshops, it gave participants experience with company promotion, concepts, branding, investor pitches, etc. After the programme, the participants were able to recognise strong ideas and business boosters, understand how Business Boost Bangladesh works for women entrepreneurs, and utilize the many ideas processed by women entrepreneurs in their businesses, among other things.

 

For all of the participants who are interested in careers as female entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts, this session was a terrific learning opportunity. They received firsthand knowledge of business boosts and how to put them to use. The session helped participants increase their output, improve their business-related ideas and abilities, and position themselves as attractive candidates for business women. Preneur Lab has been empowering women, young people, and businesses worldwide since 2014. So far, they have planned and offered special opportunities towards this purpose, including seminars, bootcamps, and hackathons. Additionally, this session was a part of their campaign for women’s emancipation.
